How accurate is the BPM and key finder?

The analyzer combines beat tracking and harmonic analysis in your browser. Results are estimates: clear, steady tracks are usually easier to analyze than live recordings, changing tempos or harmonically ambiguous music.

Why can one song be listed as 70 BPM or 140 BPM?

Those values describe the same pulse at different metrical levels, often called half-time and double-time. The analyzer returns the strongest detected tempo rather than always multiplying a slower result by two.

Is my audio uploaded or saved?

No. The browser decodes the file and sends its audio samples only to a local Web Worker on your device. The Cloudflare Worker serves the website files but never receives your song.

Which audio formats can I analyze?

You can use formats your browser can decode, commonly MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC. Exact support depends on the browser and operating system.

What is a Camelot code?

Camelot codes map musical keys to a wheel used by DJs. For example, A minor is 8A and C major is 8B. Nearby compatible codes can help you plan smoother harmonic transitions.

Can I change the detected BPM or key?

Use the Key & BPM Changer to adjust tempo and pitch independently. Detection tells you the current values; the changer renders a new audio file locally.
